Ibrahim Traoré

Ibrahim Traoré is a Burkinabè army captain and President of Faso who has led Burkina Faso's military-led transition since October 2022. A revised charter adopted in 2024 extended the transition for five years from July 2, 2024. He also holds the rotating presidency of the Confederation of Sahel States under a one-year mandate granted in December 2025.
