Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde

Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, widely known as Seyi Makinde, is a Nigerian engineer, businessman and politician serving as governor of Oyo State. Elected on the Peoples Democratic Party platform in 2019 and re-elected in 2023, he declared an intention in 2026 to contest Nigeria's presidency and was subsequently identified in reporting and campaign communications with a prospective Allied Peoples Movement ticket. No final 2027 candidate list from the Independent National Electoral Commission was available as of 22 August 2026.
